LOVE AFFAIR

According to Francis Bacon, no one can truly explain love, yet everyone understands it. There are scholarly definitions, of course, but reading them is hardly a romantic experience. If we choose to explore love through scent, however, our chances of capturing its essence are much greater. Love for a life partner, for a child, for a friend—or even for freedom and personal independence. We turned to those we love and asked them to share which Pigmentarium fragrance speaks to them most. How would they express themselves in scent for someone close to them? Which perfume would they choose for another, and why? Marriage, friendship, maternal love, partnership, and independence—framed through the lens of photographer Hana Knížová. And how do they smell?
